U4GM POE 2 Guide: How to Tame Mighty Silverfist
#1
The Companion Spirit Walker is the sort of Huntress build that clicks once you stop trying to do everything yourself. In Patch 0.5.1, it feels smooth because your beast does the dirty work while you move, mark targets, and stay alive. You don't need a pile of expensive gear to get started either, though having some spare Path of Exile 2 Currency can make upgrades less annoying when you reach tougher zones. The heart of the setup is Mighty Silverfist, a heavy-hitting companion that turns fights into a brawl you mostly watch from a safe angle.

How the build gets started

Early on, don't force the companion plan before it's ready. Most players will have a much easier time using a Crossbow through the first couple of acts, with Explosive Grenade doing plenty of work. It clears packs well, it's simple, and it doesn't ask much from your gear. Once you reach Act 3 and get into the Jungle Ruins, the build changes shape. That's where you pick up Tame Beast, track down Mighty Silverfist, and bring it into your setup. After that, your job becomes less about blasting every monster yourself and more about giving your companion space to smash things properly.

Why Mighty Silverfist feels so good

Mighty Silverfist is popular for a reason. It hits hard in melee, it can soak pressure, and its Totem Slam gives the build the punch it needs against both packs and sturdier enemies. You'll notice the difference almost straight away. Small monsters get flattened, rares don't live as long as they should, and bosses become easier to manage because you're not standing toe to toe with them. It isn't a completely hands-off build, though. You still need to reposition, avoid ground effects, and keep fights from turning messy. But compared with many direct-damage setups, it's much calmer.

Ascendancy and gear priorities

Spirit Walker works because its passives actually support what the build wants to do. Catha's Balance is one of the standout picks, especially once you start stacking companion-focused bonuses on your gear. The nice part is that there's no required Unique holding the build together. Rare items with useful defensive stats and companion scaling can carry you deep into the game. Later, Runemastered Tyranny's Grip becomes a serious upgrade if you improve it through the Verisium Bench. It pairs well with Catha's Balance and gives Mighty Silverfist a much sharper damage curve in harder content.

Adding more beasts to the fight

If you like the idea of turning the screen into a small hunting party, Sylvan's Effigy is worth looking at. It lets you bring in Azmerian Wolf support and more wolf companions, which adds pressure without changing the basic rhythm of the build. Silverfist still remains the main threat, but the extra bodies help distract enemies and keep damage flowing. For players pushing maps or farming upgrades, grabbing cheap Path of Exile 2 Currency can also make it easier to test gear swaps without feeling stuck. This build suits anyone who wants steady progress, strong bossing, and a companion that genuinely feels like the star of the run.
